The Language of War – Oleksandr Mykhed


7 march, Kyiv region: A woman, fifty years old. An armed Russian soldier enters the house; he looks to be in his twenties, probably a Kadyrovite. He points a weapon at her, orders her to undress. Her husband tries to interfere, he is shot. A Russian soldier rapes the woman, but other servicemen enter the building and take him outside. The husband is down with a gunshot wound … he does not receive medical care and dies in a few days. The wife buries his body near the house. The same Kadyrovite rapes a fourty-year-old neighbour, then cuts her throat. He buries the body … in the courtyard of her house and, using her lipstick, leave the details of her burial place on the mirror in the bedroom.
